How to find out why the description is not displayed on the woocommerce page?

Store page on woocommerce does not display meta description. Yoast SEO plugin installed. On all pages, except for the main page of the catalog, the description is displayed correctly. The plugin connects to the page, displays the tags, but the description is missing. The corresponding metabox on the category edit page is filled.
How to figure out what the problem is?

I noticed that if you change the value in the description field to something other than the default value, then description is displayed, and if you return the default value, it disappears again.
