How to find out the version of win if it does not start and can it be reinstalled without losing data?

Windows won't start. I want to download the same one to a USB flash drive and restore it, 1 question follows from this: how to find out which Windows it costs? In the description I saw version 6.1.7601.17567, but after googling, I did not understand what it meant.
2nd question: if I determine the necessary Windows, start it from a USB flash drive, do a recovery and it will not help (now I did it by downloading win 7 x64 ult - but there is most likely another one installed), is it possible to install on a new one without deleting all the information and saving all programs? Install on the same disk and how to install it correctly?

According to the internal version number (6.1.7601.17567), it is impossible to determine not the edition, not the language, not the bitness.

If the exact version of the update is not needed, then the version before the build number can be found by looking at the properties of the file "Windows\System32\winver.exe"
> 6.1.7601.17567
WinNT 6.1 (Windows 7)
Build 7601 (SP1)
17567 - update version

You can backup \Users\user_name and \ProgramData so that after reinstalling the onnelf settings, you can pull it out.
Well, the system registry from Windows\Sysnative\config\ or Windows\System32\config\
If there is space, then you can generally save the entire partition into an image and then copy the data from it.

If Windows7 - you can try to boot into Safe Mode with the F8 key during the boot attempt.
If it doesn't work out, then boot from a USB flash drive, and
- this is the output of details to the specified file
- and wait a long time for the system file check to finish. Then you can see the results:

findstr /c:"[SR]" C:\CBS.log >CBSerr.log
notepad CBSerr.log

But extracting the names of broken files from CBSerr.log and then copying these files from a working computer is another task...
