How to find out the login of a single user in a virtual image of Ubuntu Server?

Half a day I installed Ubuntu Server on a virtual image (Home OS - Kubuntu 18.04). The Internet is weak, it took a long time to download something. As a result, the installation has just completed, I am happy to reload the image and stumble upon something that I did not expect at all - login. I remembered the password, but I didn’t guess that the login would also be needed. What will we do? How can I penetrate the FS and find out the login?

CityCat4 won't work) it's ubuntu) root has no password and login under it is not possible
Therefore, boot from any live-cd, mount the root fs, then view /etc/passwd on this root system, non-system users have uid by default and gid starting from 1000
