How to find out the IP of the switch by mac address?

Good afternoon, the snag is this: there is an average network of 200+ L2 switches, as well as several L3 routers, mostly cisco 7600, you need to find a switch with a given poppy address.
Commands "sh mac address-table address ..." , "sh arp " in the table does not display anything for this poppy.
What other method can be used to solve this problem?

Networks for all switches different?

We track it in a chain from the ports of L2 switches. Not the fact that this poppy is generally a switch.

Are you sure that this switch has an IP address at all?
Maybe it is not assigned to any interface, or it is assigned, but in some "left" VLAN?!
I think the most correct way is to physically approach the switch with a laptop, connect with a serial cable (such a blue one) and see its settings through the terminal. If you know your username and password of course.

The question is how did you even get into the network with 200+ switches?
I so understand that you use cisco. Then, you need to read in the direction of cdp.

Didn't find what you were looking for?
