How to find out in Bitrix what brand and category a product belongs to?

In general, I write my crutch for Bitrix, using the CCatalogProduct::GetByIDEx method, it returns values where there is an array with the brand and category, but both of these values are empty, although the brand is visible in the product card or in the cart, the product is present in the desired category. How else can you find out? It is known that goods are loaded somehow through 1C and not all properties of the goods are used, but somehow they get into the database somehow cunningly and are visible to the system. But how can you see them? What else can you try?

1 Show what CCatalogProduct::GetByIDEx returns to you. (Why are you using it by the way? And what is the point of the crutch? What does it do?)
2 If possible, always use CIBlockElement::GetList to work with infoblock elements, if it is enough: dev.1c-bitrix.ru/api_help/iblock/classes/ ciblockel...
