How to find out if there is a Jailbreak on Kindle 5?
I bought Kindle 5 in a store that inspires confidence (at least all-Ukrainian sit down), it was indicated there that "Russian language, without advertising." In view of the fact that I did not want to pick the device in order to remove ads, and the markup in this store was less than the price of the official disabling of advertising, I bought it there.
The box was unpacked, but then closed with a special barcode sticker from the store. I understand for Russification.
There was a version of the Kindle software, sort of like 4 with something there, but it became 4.1.1. Updated itself via Wi-Fi after registration. The ad didn't show up.
After the update, the Russian language was half off. Switched to English - it does not matter.
I wonder if the device has been jailbroken? How can you find out?

Russification is not installed without jailbreak, so it is logical that the jail did.
Jailbreak is required to enable access to the system via usb.
At the Kindle 5 itself, firmware 4.1.1, Russified, advertising was disabled in those. Amazon support for free.
If you need to get the device as “from the factory”, then you can use the firmware recovery with a complete erasure of everything ( link ), after which you will receive a book that, after turning it on, will ask you to select a language, an Amazon account, and so on ...
