How to find information on how to visualize a cloud of photos of an object from different directions?
There is the following task. There are many photographs of a small object taken from different angles and at different magnifications. Moreover, the object is transparent, i.e. different photos from the same angle can be focused on different points within the object. All positions of the photographs are known. I want to make it easy to navigate through all the photos.
Here is an example on google maps. “In the air” dots hang, you can click on them, when you hover the mouse, a projection is shown on the current view.
The task itself is very voluminous and includes a bunch of details. And our particular case has its own specifics. Therefore, the question is: what is the name of such a visualization area? Where can I find more information on this topic? What keywords? Where can you start? Any interesting articles maybe someone met?

Nice person recommended great links on this topic. I'll leave it for posterity:
Light field : a common technology for this topic
Lumigraph : a classic work on an application in image processing
Unstructured lumigraph : a very successful extension of the idea with preference and mademoiselles
Photo Tour : navigation through a cloud of photos of famous places, the videos attached to the article demonstrate the possibilities very well .
