I need to find a site with a timeline for the release of native php support on OS.
Previously, I came across it there was something similar like ubuntu only with the whole Linux family

Usually there are packages with other versions of PHP (the official maintainer makes them for ubuntu) and you can install different versions, and in parallel.
And there is docker.
Therefore, these two methods will most likely be the best solution for you.
