How to find a job or internship for a beginner python developer?

15 years in process control systems (programmer). I am 34. I decided to change my profile. I take python/django courses, read books, watch tutorial videos, but I'm not involved in any project. There are difficulties with employment, but so far I have only failed one interview)). Maybe you can tell me how to get experience in real development, maybe someone needs a programmer in the team, money does not matter. I will be glad to any advice.

If you are from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Kazan, NN - then poke around at all the vacancies where python is required (actually, nothing new).
If you are from some other city, then go to the cities that I indicated above, or not at all (look at the local job market, and change the stack to the one that is in demand at your place)

the average time to get a job since the first hello world among my friends:
backend - 2 years
machine learning - 2 years
frontend (javascript) - from six months to a year
the fact that they are invited to social services is a good sign. so you can hack the system: learn these 10-15 questions that repeat over and over again and get a job.
