How to find a job in programming while studying at a university?
Entered the university in the first year of the engineering program. In addition to the main program, there is enough free software that I would like to spend on learning web development. But I think that then the moment will come when I will master the basic things and in order to move on, I will need to get a job somewhere as a junior, but this is a problem, since there are no part-time vacancies in the city and without experience. In this case, this knowledge will be forgotten during the time of studying at the university (unless, of course, they give tasks close to real development, which is possible not earlier than the third year), and then you will need to study from the beginning. How to be in such a situation? I thought about freelancing, but I looked at the exchanges and it was somehow empty at first glance.
I would not want to waste my free time, and besides IT, I am not interested in anything yet. And to teach general knowledge for 4 years, and then spend more time studying to the level when it will be possible to get a job somewhere - for me it is too long and tiring time.

Try to get a job at the CC of an educational institution or at the department. This will give you the experience you need to land a real job.
Programming consists of the basics (algorithms, basic syntax of languages, logic, mathematics) and practical skills in working with relevant APIs, libraries, etc.
The first is given at the university and without the basics, of course, you should not get into development. Moreover, this is such knowledge that, like riding a bicycle, is not particularly forgotten. But the second thing you need to constantly study on your own. For example, the Android API changes every year (sometimes very strongly) and the ability to work with documentation and implement real projects will help here.
Actually, why am I writing - do not expect that at the university you will be taught to program, you will be taught to learn on your own, and only then will you become a valuable specialist.
In essence, many large companies offer internships, they also have places for students, including remote ones (especially now). Look for the right vacancies on hh and on the websites of the companies themselves in the career section - Yandex, Google, Mail.ru and others ... I can also advise you to talk to teachers - many people work in business besides the university and very often take their students to work.
ps sometimes it is useful to indicate your city, because without it it can be difficult to give objective advice. I can say for sure that if you search well, then in any city with a population of 300+ thousand people there will be vacancies for part-time students.
And what does it mean empty on the exchanges, that is, you came in a week, did all the work there and there is nothing more for you and the rest to catch, all the work is done?
Now the exchanges are at their peak, thousands of jobs appear every day, you just have to spend your whole life to complete all the work in a day on the exchanges
It seems to me that if you approach the issue objectively, then there are only two criteria:
1) The need for money
2) Workload of
studies then get settled.
