How to find a job for a beginner?

Good afternoon! I am 44 years old, tech. education (MSTU named after Bauman), but I did not work as a programmer, although now I have a clear desire to become a Data Scientist and develop analytics and ML skills. No one responds to my resume ... Is there a chance to get a job in this area as a junior?

I am 44 years old, tech. education (MSTU named after Bauman)

Wouldn't it be hard to consume tons of information at that age? I have nothing against age, but even +10 years affects the amount of energy in the body.

And you shouldn't, young programmers compete with you. The way out is - you have to stand out among the "competitors" in some way. And since you are already distinguished by age, you need additional. ace in the sleeve. As a rule, additional a trump card - the presence of the English language, pet.projects (your projects in the portfolio), mental talent, which will stuff the same 22-25 year old juniors into the bosom.

Is there a chance to get a job in this direction as a junior?

If you believe Habr - who writes articles about "pensioners relocating to another country and jumping a year before seniors" - you have a chance. But in fact - programming is a cell of a business, take the place of an employer, and ask yourself - what can a person like you give to a business if you find some advantages - like an excellent matan in your head, or energy that will allow you to learn and not get tired - then hold on.
But .... as a rule - to be a programmer after 40-50 = it is systematically leaving for the position of PM, Tech Lead, Manager, because you have a lot of experience in the "business", and the young people are still stupid and naive. Writing code at 45-50-55 - I personally would not want to, I would leave this fate to the burning eyes of the young.

Perhaps you should look for work elsewhere. For example, freelancing. Of course, if you have the necessary skills. Nobody cares how old you are. I started after 40. And still have not regretted the choice. This path, of course, is more difficult, because you will have to figure it out yourself, but if you wish, everything is possible. There is a lot of material for training. There are specialized resources, telegram channels, forums. First, ask when you become more skilled in the topic - help others, increase your own skill set. If there is desire and perseverance, the result will be. With motivation, as I understand it, everything is fine with you)))). There will be questions - write. Good luck!
