How to find a facebook user by ID?

After authorization through fb I get the user id. I need to generate a link to his facebook profile page. I used to just substitute this id in facebook/{id} or facebook.com/profile.php?id={id}
but for some time now such links have stopped opening. I get the message "Sorry, this content is currently unavailable."
What am I doing wrong?
