How to filter a column correctly?

Good afternoon everyone. Please help, I can't filter by date column. Column B has a list of dates in general format. Cell values in B might look like 06/21/2017 or 04/21/2017 (44-00-3E). How can I filter by date, for example return rows that are in the range from 01/01/2005 to 01/04/2017? This is work, please help.

How about converting to "date" format?
Then the filter will have a "filter by date" instead of a text one...
If the problem is that there is not only a date in the cell, pull the date into the next one and filter by it.
For example, A1 contains "04/21/2017 (44-00-3E)".
write in B1 the formula "=Leftsimv(A1;10;)"
Well, set the filter on column B
