How to exorcise a demon from a laptop?

In recent days, something unimaginable has been happening.
I suspect it's the wi-fi module. The symptoms are as follows:
The signal began to fall off. The speed is hellishly feverish, I measure it on speedtest, it is either 4 mb / s (which is the norm), or it barely reaches 1 mb. At the same time, the simplest pages in the browser open about once every four minutes.
The most interesting thing is that the same speedtest shows not my hosting and, accordingly, the city in which I am located. Although in the morning he showed the correct data.
There are two more laptops in the apartment and they are all right. But I am the farthest from the router, and actually I always had troubles with speed, but they were almost invisible. And now the Internet is worse than on dial-up, which triggers a berserk mode in me. I'm almost on the edge. With every second, I want to smash the laptop against the wall more and more.
I do not know what to do. Maybe it's the wi-fi module being naughty, or... I don't know. Help identify the problem.

1. If the OS is Windows, then I recommend checking for viruses.
2. Try turning off bluetooth.
3. You can try to reinstall the drivers on the wifi adapter
4. You can return normal wifi by buying a usb whistle, let's say zyxel for 600 rubles, if everything is fine with it, then continue to use the whistle.

See netstat -ano, (if you have Windows) catch the processes by PID that load your network, see what these processes are, well, you understand ...

The key word here is "in the apartment" and in the "back room". Most likely, your router and the router of one of the neighbors are working on the same channel. You can get detailed information about the purity of the ether using a smartphone (tablet) with Android OS on board. The app is called Wifi Analyzer. Choose the least busy channel and manually set it on the router. As a rule, there is an auto-selection out of the box.

I would also suggest checking the congestion of the WiFi air. You probably don't have a lot of neighbors there. There is an option (I read it on Habré, I don’t remember the link) to REDUCE the signal strength of your router a little so that there are fewer collisions. I do not know, I tried - it did not help me. In my case, I briefly increased the WiFi signal strength on my router to the maximum several times (for 5-10 minutes), then reduced it to normal. Apparently, those with whom I was in conflict on the air sensed interference and realized that power can be controlled. We reduced the signal a little and we became comfortable. Now I almost forgot about them.
