How to execute script 1 time on moodle update?

We need a script that will be executed once when the user updates the moodle (this script should do some fixes). Tell me how you can make such a script (I'm looking in the doc. But so far I haven't found anything).

Moodle does an update when a module version is updated.
Look for a redefinition of the update function.
