How to erase information about a file when sending through open sources?
I am a person who is not yet deeply versed in such nuances, but as far as I know, when sending a file (for example, a photo), say, to What's app or vk, if you have the skills and certain software according to the file, you can associate it with a specific device from which the file has been sent. Tell me, are there any ways to "overwrite" information about the file so that the recipient cannot compromise the sender? The question is purely rhetorical, but very interesting for me) thanks!

Maybe not "open sources", but "public communication channels"?
The files themselves of some formats (for example, MS Office files, JPEG images) contain metadata, service information. Let's say it is removed from a JPEG using the jhead utility. From other formats - otherwise.
But when transferring a file, the receiving side can still store information from whom the file was received. To ensure anonymity, you will have to use services that do not store logs, do not require registration, and so on.
Another conspiracy theory. You can’t say anything from the file (the maximum is to find out from the service information from the photo which device made it), there may be logs on the servers of the company providing the service, but you won’t be able to influence this.

if you have skills and certain software according to the file data, you can associate it with a specific device from which the file was sent.maybe if you have access to the raw statistics of the app vk, fb
