How to encrypt a file with PGPKeys?

Please tell me how to encrypt the file. You need to encrypt the file using the PGPDesktop program. I can't find a proper manual.
I tried this: I created a private key with a passphrase: 12345678. Then I try to encrypt the selected file:
5c891ae93b397645624515.png
I choose Secure ... with key. I choose a private key. It seems that the file file.pgp is being created. But for some reason, when decrypting, it does not require entering a pass phrase and it turns out that access to the file is open.
Tell me how to do it right. How to encrypt a file so that decryption requires a passphrase.

PGP caches passphrases. Look in the tray next to the clock.
