How to enable .htaccess and deny folder access?
Apache/2.2.15 (CentOS)
Linux 2.6.32-042stab106.4 on x86_64
There is a directory X on the site, you need to deny access to it and all its folders/files
Threw .htaccess into this directory with "Deny from all". The files are still available via direct links.
Climbed into /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf and changed all AllowOverride to All, restarted Apache, files can still be downloaded.
What could be the problem?
