How to enable animated zoom in adobe illstrator?

In the settings of adobe illustrator there is an item - [performance] -> [scaling with animation], the item is inactive, because it says that for this function to work, you need OS windows 8 or higher, there are only windows 7. Can I somehow get around this without updating the system?
