How to enable 2D acceleration in Android 2.3.5?

Good day to you!
Lyrics:
I ran into a problem, the cyanogenmod firmware was on the smartphone, it wildly ate the battery, apparently the processor frequency was raised. I installed custom firmware for this phone model from the manufacturer. In general, now the interface is terribly slow, on the "flying" Android 2.3 this should not be so. Searching the forums, I found this:

It works great, fast (faster than 2.3, even games run faster, and those who have a slow interface just forgot to turn on 2D acceleration in the settings, apparently)

Problem: I don't know how to enable 2D - acceleration in Android 2.3.5 Google did not help, apparently this is done through system files, since I did not find the corresponding item in the settings menu.
Thanks in advance for your replies

@StrikerusRus

Try to go to the phone settings, there at the very bottom About phone (about the phone), there Bulid number (build number), tap on it 7 times. Then the message "you are a developer" will appear and the Developer options item will appear in the settings (settings for developers) . There should be Force GPU rendering (always use the GPU for 2d), you need to check it. It might help.
