Does the Google Pay API integration work in WebViews?
For Android apps which use WebViews, you must invoke the native Android Google Pay APIs. See Binding JavaScript code to Android code for examples.

One possible solution is to use androidx.browser:browser:XXX
A full browser built into the application that has access to gpay
