How to edit VBA macros in a Word add-in?

I transferred all my macros from the Normal.dotm template to a separate template and connected it as a Word add-in and then an unpleasant surprise! In a template containing macros, it is impossible to edit them!

Can I somehow edit macros in the attached add-in? Otherwise, how then to debug scripts?
Microsoft Excel has this feature.
The question is clearly simple, but I don’t understand how to formulate it in order to “find it in Google”

That's right, templates (and macros inside) are not easily edited.
You need to find where the template file is located, and open it not by double-clicking, but through Word Open as ...
First, it is advisable to disable the template and close all documents.
