How to edit site view on RoR via ftp?

There is a site on RoR. Deployed with Capistrano. The site has been abandoned for a long time, there is no access to the repository. You need to edit the template. I'm editing app/views/layouts here - there are no changes on the site. Who knows, maybe cached somewhere?
