How to edit MODx chunks and snippets via external editor (via ftp)?

We tried through Brackets, but modx does not update chunks, you have to go to the admin panel and press the "Save" button, although Brackets uploads the modified chunk file to the server, and the changes are even shown in the admin panel, but as if not saved. Chunks are picked up from files, there is access to them via FTP, the question remains with saving. Perhaps there is another solution, thanks in advance for the answers!
