How to edit font with icons?

We have: the font files themselves (ttf, eot, woff) and the svg file.
I need to change several icons in a set.
I tried to open the svg file in Inkspcape - it opens as if an empty file. In general, you need to open one of these files and correct the vector in it, and then save it all back to font files.

You can use the Fontello service, create the desired set once and then simply edit it, without any crutches.
