HOW TO DRAW SHADOW AND LIGHT IN CG?

Please tell me if there is any tutorial video/article/course that explains in detail how to draw light and shadow. I'm not interested in where to draw, but how. What brushes and in what sequence. I don't understand the system and it would be nice to have a sequence of steps, preferably with comments.... Thanks in advance.

If we are talking about artistic authenticity, then FS differs little from live drawing.
The main approaches that I learned before:
1) It's better to first draw a base layer with "flat colors", and on a new transparent layer draw shadows on top of it, on the second layer on top of the previous one - light. This makes it a lot easier if something goes wrong or if you want to add layering effects - brightness, transparency, blur, etc.
2) Brushes can be any, standard ones are enough for the eyes. If you play around with the parameters - edges, transparency, frequency, scattering along the X / Y axis - you can achieve great effects. Deviantart used to put out brushpacks, now it seems to be on Artstation. Generally easy to create your own brushes,
3) One of the approaches to creating light and shadows is not to "paint with color", as it were. gouache, and use layer modes ("lighten", "darken", "multiply") and the same effects for the brush. Sometimes the result comes out more natural than painting with color.
You can buy Patreon for a month from Lois van Baarle - she made a lot of good tutorials in her time, there are old ones on youtube and tumblr.

Once upon a time I came across yt on the CG Fish channel - there a person talks about the principles of drawing.
There was a vidos about light and shadows.
(In short - it is no different from painting, except that it is CG, not paint)
And choose the brushes that you feel most comfortable with. Nothing bad will happen if you experiment)
The choice of brushes depends more on the style in which you work.
These can be ordinary round ones, they can be with imitation of oil, watercolor, pencils, or at least spray.
And what tools are generally available in FS you can learn from any lessons and courses about FS)

I don't understand the system and it would be nice to get a sequence of actions

First you need to understand how the light is arranged and how the shadow is physically arranged. What about photoshop tools?
What brushes and in what order

And how are we to know? It depends on the task and on the decision of the performer of the task, and not on a certain sequence of actions written down on a piece of paper.
If you want to take a round brush, if you want a square one, how can we know what you have there.
Is there any tutorial video/article/course that goes into detail on how to draw light and shadow

There is. Don't believe me. We open Google and write: "how to draw light and shadow"
And the first thing that will show us is "The basics of drawing. Light and shadow. Part 1".
School questions to be honest...
