How to do zoning of the development process?
Advise on how to properly zoning the development process. Interested in Best Practices.
What idea: to make, for example, three zones (servers, clusters) - dev, qa, prod. On dev from CI, the latest version is built and launched, on qa, the version from the stable branch (master) is built and launched. A tested and confirmed version from qa is running on prod - clients work with this part. Accordingly, dev is for developers, qa is for testers, and prod is already for clients.
Everything seems to be logical and correct, but doubts creep in, are they doing this at all or is it their own crooked bike? Please advise the right way. By the way, if you use other names and terms, also tell us.
