How to do load testing for a SPA site?

For normal projects, you can use ab to see how the server responds, but if the site is a single page application, the main page is served instantly, and the rest is loaded with javascript.
Are there any tools to analyze such projects or do you just need to create a "regular" page, duplicate all the scripts there and test it?
