How to do documentation for Python?

I am slowly writing one open project and I want good documentation for it. The main part is in python, but there will also be a client in C ++ (perhaps on something else), tell me, how is it fashionable to generate documentation now? I know about PyDoc and Doxygem, but somehow I have never done this for Python, please share your experience.
