How to do date field comparison by day of month and month, without year in SQL?

There is a database that contains records of the number of visitors for each day since a certain year.
Date field, of type date.

Task: Display the periods for the last 3 years.
For example, from 01.01 to 02.02 for 2021, 2020, 2019 intervals: 01/01/2019-02/02/2019; 01/01/2020-02/02/2020; 01.01.2021-02.02.2021.
I make a query:
SELECT * FROM `visits`
WHERE DATE_FORMAT(`date`,'%d.%m') BETWEEN STR_TO_DATE('01.01','%d.%m') AND STR_TO_DATE('02.02','%d. %m')
AND YEAR(`date`) BETWEEN '2019' AND '2021'
But it's not correct because STR_TO_DATE needs a year.
For intervals only by months, I made a request, but I can’t find how to fasten the days of the month:
SELECT * FROM `visits`
WHERE MONTH(`date`) BETWEEN '01' AND '02'
AND YEAR(`date`) BETWEEN '2019' AND '2021'
Please help me understand.
