How to display the template I need in wordpress?

Good afternoon! Please tell me how to display the template I need. I'll give you an example!
Suppose that I have a link in the menu, which, by design, should, when clicked, display the authors of the project, which were registered as taxonomies of the project entity. Having entered the template table, I understand that the taxonomy-$taxonomy.php template is suitable here. I prescribe the layout there. I create a page in the admin panel (or an entry, which is more suitable here, please explain). Now, how to link the admin page with the created template?

There is no need to specifically link, WordPress itself looks for and takes the most suitable template. If you registered authors as taxonomies, then you need to create taxonomies in the admin panel, not pages or posts, then the desired template will work
