How to display breadcrumbs in Joomla elsewhere?

Hello!
New to Joomla. There is version 2.5 with a custom theme. I'm trying to display breadcrumbs, but there are only a few places in the template where they can be displayed, menu, footer, several plugins, etc. - all past the checkout. In the index.php file itself, I do this:
<jdoc:include type="modules" name="breadcrumbs" />right in the place where I need to display them, and as I understand it, in the settings there should now (or should not?) There will be a place for the output of these crumbs. But the place doesn't show up.
Tell me how to display them in the right place for me?

I found the answer myself, open templateDetails.xml in the folder with the template, look for the block <positions>and add <position>your-position</position>it, and then select this place in the module settings.
