How to display a purchase message in a div or remove the add to cart button?

When adding an item to the cart, a message appears stating that the item has been added to the cart, and also if you remove the item from the cart, then the fact that it was deleted and the name of the item. Having found this output template, I came across a problem that the text is output from the $message variable along with the button to go to the trash and the button to cancel deletion. How can I reassign this variable to display the same text but only wrapped in a div?
