How to display a custom google search on the same page in a popup div?

I want interactivity, I don’t want the results to open on a new page. Please tell me how to place the code for displaying search results on the same page in a dropdown list or in a popup div.

And it comes with several APIs: The
Custom Search Element Control API is most likely your case.
Custom Search JSON/Atom API - Only 100 requests per day are free for this option.
The option with XML should not even be indicated - Google itself positions it as a solution for business (well, it's understandable).
