How to disable the display of desktop content in the left panel in Explorer?

Hello!
After the next update, windows 10 noticed a very unfortunate display of the display of all desktop folders on the left in the explorer, where the library, drives and recently opened folders are usually displayed. I have a lot of folders on my desktop, so now it’s just insanely inconvenient and I just don’t understand why they ruined the explorer so much and still haven’t fixed it back, but apparently they won’t fix it anymore, because more than once, unfortunately, they did what was good only in their opinion.
Therefore, I wanted to know if it was possible to somehow disable this display, except for the option to delete the desktop and never use folders in it. That's how terrible everything is now displayed due to the update and the opinion of microsoft that they made it convenient (which of course is not). I apologize for the apparent rudeness towards them, but I am very upset by this fact and the fact that I also consider it convenient ...

All due to the fact that the hierarchy and also above all for some reason, the desktop, which, by all logic, is by no means higher than the disks and "my computer" is located, even purely physically, so I don’t understand the logic where it doesn’t exist, because the desktop is nested, it is lower in the hierarchy, but in the explorer they did everything as they wanted, and as a result, now they have to seriously suffer and always remember what horror this microsoft sometimes does: from
