Reverse the code and in Mozilla run a userscript that will remove the scroll up handler. I must say right away that the problem is not trivial

Oh, I think I know the solution. The process that bothers you, as far as I understand, is called “dialog archiving”. Conversations in the archive are not treated by the application in the same way as active conversations. When the number of conversations in WhatsApp becomes more than 100, then the 101st dialogue goes to the archive, and if a message arrives at the 101st dialogue, it goes out of the archive and becomes 1 active dialogue. That is, it turns out a kind of cycle of dialogues in WhatsApp.
This archiving can be disabled, but I don’t know how to do it in watsapp Web. However, some WA APIs have functionality to disable this feature.
