How to disable form autocomplete in Firefox?

If you open a page in Firefox that has an input and enter something into it, and then (without submitting the form!) Reload the page, the data in the field will be saved. I don't know why this was done in Firefox, but it's terribly infuriating.
On your own sites, this can be disabled by adding the autocomplete="off" property to the input code.
But how to ban this game from Firefox in general? Haven't found an answer yet. Really it is impossible, through about:config, for example?
PS. This is not an "auto-complete forms" feature that stores data from SUBMITTED forms.
