How to disable Aero in win 7 without disabling the composite window manager?
Like it or not, but it looks like you'll have to change from a warm lamp XP to a seven. The greatest disgust is caused by a riot of colors called Aero.
Simply disabling it disables the composite window manager as well. And without it, it's scary to work in the seven. Firstly, the speed of redrawing everything in this mode has become slower than it was in XP. Secondly, various artifacts appear.
The desired effect can almost be achieved by turning off transparency for design elements in the color settings. But still there is some kind of slur on the background:
Any answer will suit me, and how to turn off Aero leaving the composite manager, and how to remove the slur with Aero enabled.
UPD: The result is great.

You can put a third-party theme without "smudge" and turn off transparency.
Example:
I have it set up like this (I have an English language OS):
In perfomance options:
1) Remove all checkboxes.
2) Check the boxes:
- Eneble Aero Peek
- Eneble desktop composition
- Save taskbar thumbnail previews
- Show thumbnails instead of icons
- Show translucent selection rectangle
- Show window contents while dragging
- Smooth edges of screen fonts
- Use visual styles on windows and buttons
+ Brutal colors (made opaque and dark blue)
I'll add from myself:
+ I always cut off sounds at startup and shutdown.
+ I put the mouse pointer with the good old XPyushki.
+ Taskbar Buttons - never combine.
In general, something like this, and all Win7 features work. PS: I didn’t like aero either, so I cut off as much unnecessary garbage as possible from her, but I wouldn’t go back to square Win32 - it’s inconvenient, since the big red cross for closing programs, I obviously see it more convenient, although again I rarely use anything other than Claudia.
In the performance settings there is a checkbox "enable transparency effect", it makes the windows matte, leaving the aero theme, I think this is the maximum you can achieve =)
habreffect.ru/4f5/f6a477c24/Capture.png - With a vertical arrangement of the panel, there are no glare on the "glass" (well, or almost none), if we are talking about them. (Yes, the background is dark wallpaper)
But without any Windows Blinds at all, which allow the topic to be completely, completely changed - no way.
PS: in my opinion, there was a riot of colors just in xp, but in 7k everything is very strict and pleasing to the eye ...
