How to determine the normality of the number pi?
The number pi is irrational , that is, it is an infinite non-periodic fraction, and transcendental .
It is easy to agree with the idea that during its decimal notation, you can find a set of numbers that matches, for example, your date of birth or even repeats in a row the passport numbers of all members of your family.
But is it possible to provide objective evidence that within the range of pi there are, for example, Linux kernel sources or the binary code of some complex IT product?
It seems much less likely, but the probability of this does not turn to zero. Is it true that at some point the sample of characters from pi will be a relatively long string consisting exclusively of zeros and ones?
The question is relevant because it has not been rigorously proven whether pi is a normal number .
