Well, there is another option, even if the processor is soldered on the board, then it can also be replaced, but you will most likely have to contact the service center, because. soldering processors yourself without experience is such an undertaking (as you were told, it’s better to take the norms of percents right away, i5 9-10 generations will most likely be enough for 5 years).

As mentioned above, starting from the 4th generation, processors are soldered to BGA, as a rule, in laptops they are marked with Y, U, H, HM indices. Until the 4th generation in laptops, processors were mostly installed removable, such stones were marked with M, QM indices, sometimes desktop ones were also installed ... In fact, it’s better to google each specific percentage if it concerns fairly old laptops.
