How to determine how many rows in a cell using phpexcel?

Hello, I am generating documents using phpexcel and the task is to correctly transfer data across pages. The problem is that it is not possible to determine whether the data is placed on the page or whether a new one needs to be added.

mb_strlen - doesn't work in this case because character widths are different
There is an imagettfbbox that returns text borders, but measuring the results in gimp found that the data does not match

Is there any technical possibility to determine how many lines some text will occupy in a cell ?
