How to determine first, last messages in pop3?

I execute the command "UIDL" to get a list of unique message ids, then when I need to get the title of the message, I execute TOP id 0, where id is the message id.

I noticed that on some mail domains, the last received message in the box is the first one with id 1, and on others it is the maximum from the list after executing the "UIDL" command

How to accurately determine the sequence of messages in the box from the first to the last?
It is possible to determine the date of the sender, but besides this, are there other ways?
