How to design a network for several residential areas?
The task (not real, coursework) is to design a network for several blocks, residential high-rise buildings. Select equipment, calculate traffic transmission lines. All entrances of houses are divided into types (different layouts). It is necessary to carry out the Internet in each apartment + IP-camera in each entrance. We have never been involved in the design of networks on pairs, so we need information (preferably in the form of articles, it is possible in English) on how to build it, preferably with real examples, with a rationale for choosing equipment, with a rationale for choosing equipment placement. If you are a network designer, is it possible to see your real projects? Are there such projects in the public domain? In general, I will be glad for any information about this. Thank you!
PS I can clarify some specific data in the question, if necessary.

If there is enough time and there is a desire to understand the topic well, then there is a specialized resource, starting from the first article in ascending order: linkmeup.ru/blog/11.html
It discusses a slightly different topic - building a company network broken down regionally, but apply to this case can. If you understand the topic, it will be much easier to understand finished projects and adjust them to your needs. Plus, the article contains a link to an excellent network editor, if you need pictures.
A lot depends on the supply of optics (top / bottom), the number of apartments, floors, the availability of access to the technical floor, the presence of living cable shafts in the building, the estimated access speed for subscribers, the connection technology and another shitty mountain of factors, the equipment also depends on the tasks (cheap / fast / high quality / convenient / in stock).
Once I did a term paper, designed a network for two office buildings. If you are interested, write to [email protected]
