How to deploy a React app with API secret key?

Hello. Actually such a question. There is a React application. There is an .env file that has been successfully added to gitignor, which contains the key for the API. I just want to deploy to now. And the question is, how can I deploy so that he "read" this key? Now the obvious situation is that he does not see him. Or am I doing something wrong?
