Ask your mentor questions. If something specific does not work, write here what you tried to do and what did not work. Now the question is very general.
From experience I can say that you can learn Magenta for a year or two or five, and every day there will be something new

I don't think it will work quickly. So many things are mixed in M2 that you need to understand it carefully, without fuss, otherwise there will be such a mess in your head that it will only get worse.
The main difficulty, for me personally, is that very often, similar in essence, the same type of things are implemented in different ways: this is due to the fact that a lot of people work on the system, with different approaches ... understanding comes with time, I still have enough black holes and white spots, but not as dramatic as before.
