How to deal with a large volume of articles in modx?

Hello. We are looking at modx for the project.
From the demo that I installed on the site, I realized that it is absolutely not convenient to work with large volumes of articles.
Tell me how you approach this problem? What would be comparable in terms of convenience to WP, DLE?
