How to customize flash components?

How are standard flash components customized?
Particularly interested in Slider and ScrollBar

If we are talking about the standard Flash IDE CS components (fl.controls), then the skin can be changed by dragging the desired component onto the stage and double-clicking on it several times. I don’t remember how to change the program code, but they are located approximately along this path “C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS3\en\Configuration\Component Source\ActionScript 3.0\User Interface”.
I don't recommend doing this at all. It's either flex or something from here www.as3gamegears.com/category/ui/

Flex is an open framework. On its example, you can look at almost any component. If not steal, then at least understand the principle and work of creating and customizing components.
