How to create your own skin in AlphaSkins?

I would like to know from someone how to properly create a skin for a program written in Delphi 7 using the AlphaSkins Editor.
Looked at off. site, it is not very clear what and how is described. I tried to create it myself, there were a lot of glitches and lags.

It is better to use FireMonkey for these purposes, and not any additional ones. components do not need to be installed, and are always at hand, so to speak.
