How to create the same promo code in Bitrix for 2 sites?

There are two language versions of the site. I create 2 rules (for s1 and s2) and linked coupons. But at the same time, Bitrix does not allow you to create two identical promotional codes for each version of the site. Message: "Errors while saving
This coupon already exists".
As I understand it, in order to get around this, you can correct the promotional code in the database directly. What are the consequences? After all, each coupon has its own binding to the rule, and the rule to the site.
