How to create SMTP proxy for GMail?

How to create/configure proxy for gmail?
The idea is this: smtpproxy.xyz is specified instead of smtp.gmail.com in the mail client, the server (preferably Ubuntu / CentOS) accepts the incoming connection and forwards the letter to smtp.gmail.com, with SSL / TLS all the way.
